A home invasion indie horror feature film set in a grand country house in the idyllic East Sussex countryside.I like low budget, indie films. This 2050 FILMS project is another example of some young and enthousiastic film makers who, with the right ideas, talent and equipment are very able to create a decent feature film. The "House Invasion" theme of strangers breaking into a house and terrorising the inhabitants is very current (possibly even a little tired at this point). think Panic Room, You're Next, Key Largo and of course Black Christmas. The Story Sam and her friends are terrorised during a gathering at her isolated house by three young men after something more than the girls.
Sam, the daughter of world-renowned artist Martha Templeton, invites three friends to join her for the night when she is left home alone. One of the girls brings her boyfriend and his two close friends and it quickly becomes apparent that a much more sinister plan is being hatched as, what starts off as a mysterious teen horror quickly mutates into a tension filled horror heist with unpredictable twists around every corner and climaxes with one message; what goes around comes around. This film project on Kickstarter is a fan film. They are placing the predator in to the Dark Ages - With Knight Templars The film follows a group of war-torn Templar knights who have returned from the Eastern lands, back to England, only to find that the enemy is now a lot closer and a lot more deadly than before. Throughout time the Predator has always looked for the greatest warriors to fight in battle, and with this short film we will see him put to the test against the some of the best history has ever seen, the Templar Knights.
Their battle with the Predator is the thing Myths and Legends are made of. This Kickstarter project is about a short film to showcase the daring and futuristic world of their planned feature length sci-fi thriller 'I-VOLUTION'. The Story: A brilliant but obsessed scientist finds himself on the brink of creating the world’s first artificial intelligence in this provocative and visceral sci-fi/suspense film from Mojo Road Entertainment. In the not too distant future, while creating the EVE Residence--a super computer operated ‘smart home’--Bionetic’s scientist COLIN DARROWAY discovers a way to link himself to the computer in hopes of creating the world’s first human-computer singularity. A symbiosis of man and machine that promises to accelerate the computer to artificial intelligence level and launch humanity to unbelievable heights. My Misirlou (Egyptian girl/woman), your sweet glance Has lit a flame in my heart. Ah, ya habibi, ah, ya le-leli, ah (Arabic: Oh, my love, Oh, my night) Your two lips are dripping honey, ah. Ah, Misirlou, magical, exotic beauty. Madness will overcome me, I can't endure [this] any more. Ah, I'll steal you away from the Arab land. My crazy, black-eyed Misirlou, My life changes with one kiss Ah, ya habibi, one little kiss, ah From your sweet little mouth, ah. Source: Wikipedia This Kickstarter project had all the promises I wanted to hear and see from an indie filmmaker. Misirlou the Movie has got it all; Sex, Drugs, Sunshine, Violence, Morality, PTSD and the search for ... what ever... everything. The whole thing is one LSD Trip with some sober moments. You can't help to get endeared by the initial acting, which get slightly better over time.
The main feature here is the 'colour' it is filmed in and the music used. The music piece called Misirlou is made famous to the 90's generation in Pulp Fiction as performed by Dick Dale.
Mythica is an epic fantasy following the exploits of Marek, a slave girl destined to be a great wizard, and her team of adventurers. A Quest for Heroes Stuck in a life of indentured servitude, Marek dreams of becoming a wizard. When she meets a beautiful priestess, Teela, in need of help, Marek escapes her master and puts together a team of adventurers - including Thane the warrior and Dagen the half-elf thief – and embarks on an epic quest to free Teela’s sister from orcs and ogres. After raiding the orc camp, the group learns that Teela’s sister has been taken into the mountains by a giant ogre. Escaping hellhounds and dragons on their dangerous journey, the team find themselves hopelessly outmatched by the man-eating ogre, and must unite all their talents to free the prisoners and escape with their own lives. Nicola Posener plays Teela, a priestess of the Order of Ana-Sett. Arrowstorm fans will recognize her from her starring role in Dawn of the Dragonslayer, while she has also starred in several British films and TV series, including Disney's House of Anubis. We're a small group of independent filmmakers who love making movies, and have been at it for about a decade. It's our full-time job, and every film we have made has received worldwide distribution. We do pretty much everything ourselves, from conception to financing to production to securing distribution. We love fantasy and science fiction and know there's others out there like us, who we aim to please.
Obviously I get the film on DVD and some incredible kudos for being a named IMDB Producer of this film with these actors headlining. - Honestly my bucket list has lost most of its entries. The Director Vincent Regan is creating a film based on Shakepeare's MacBeth. However the premise is more on the action than the dialogue. As the dialogue and narrative of Shakespeare's MacBeth is pretty graphical, this translates very well into a feature lenght film. Less talk, more visual action. "The Enemy of Man will have a unique cinematic quality, stripping back the dialogue and cranking up the action. It traverses a bleak, frozen landscape of shattered castles and pillaged towns, rendering the interior world that clouds Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s addled minds, as they sink deeper into their heart of darkness. A timeless masterpiece of war, ambition, betrayal, murder and ultimately, revenge." |
