Kickstarter, from a creator’s perspective as well, is not a store; your would-be backers are not your customers but your investors.
I just signed up for Jumpkick. This is a service that will alert me on a daily basis with a digest of the most happening Kickstarter projects out there. Kickstarter backers are learning by experience that Kickstarter is not a store. You are taking a risk: Maybe the product isn’t what you wanted, maybe it takes forever, maybe it’s obsolete by the time it comes out, maybe it doesn’t come out.
